That's according to our friend Katie Laleman from the Farm Bureau who talked about the latest harvest numbers, tonight's Market Outlook Seminar, and offered praise for the Henry County Young Leaders. The Young Leaders took part in a Cram the Cab event in Geneseo over the weekend that proved to be hugely successful with significant donations for local food banks. Mal Evans was there at the start of The Beatles and he was there until the bitter end of the band and beyond. Formerly an engineer, Mal gave up a pension and a full time job to go to work for the band after hearing them perform and before they became the biggest band in the world. Mal bet it all and the bet paid off with a whirlwind, around the world adventure alongside the single most famous and beloved rock band in the world. Mal was everyone's trusted assistant, a roadie, someone who got the band members what they wanted when they wanted it. And all the while, Mal Evans was documenting this story in his diaries. Sadly, after he died all too young at the age of 40, a dispute with a publishing company led to Mal's diligent diaries, photos, and treasure trove of impossible memories sat in a box in a basement. The story of how that box of rock n'roll history is only part of the story that Kenneth Womack documents in Living the Beatles Legend: The Untold Story of Mal Evans. Kenneth was our guest on Wake Up Tri-Counties on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
