The Kewanee Boilermakers season came to an end on Wednesday night in a playoff loss to the Sherrard Tigers. Despite a heart filled performance from star Brady Clark, who scored 23 points in the losing effort, Kewanee fell short 55 to 45. After the game, Coach Matt Clark was not able to join us for the postgame podcast but the voice of Kewanee Basketball Russ Hughes and his partner Jeremy Peart spoke about the Coach, this remarkable season, and the various highlights that made this season special.

Kathy Foes and Samantha Rux with OSF Saint Luke Medical Center joined Wake Up Tri-Counties on Monday, February 19th, 2024, to talk about the OSF Healthcare Foundation. Specifically, Kathy is talking about the OSF Transportation Program, a program that offers a van to help people in need get to needed appointments and medical care. The OSF Healthcare Transportation Program is entirely funded by donations to the Transportation Fund via the OSF Healthcare Foundation and Kathy talks about why she hopes you will make donations to support the Program which helps people in need.

The weather is nice, which means Spring is the horizon, and so is the return of the 26th Annual Maple Syrup Festival out at Argyle Lake State Park!
Bridget Hinchee returns to the studio to talk about the upcoming Maple Syrup Festival including the preparations that the Friends of Argyle Lake State Park have been making, as well as the activities and goodies that participants can expect to be available like 100% real maple syrup and maple sugar cotton candy!
Plus, the Colchester Lions Club will be running their Pancake Breakfast in tandem with the Maple Syrup Festival, so you can get a hearty breakfast (or early lunch).
